Sapphires & other non-diamond gemstones

Natural gemstones almost always have inclusions, indicating that they are natural and not synthetic.
While we do not carry gemstones with inclusions that can overshadow their beauty or harm their durability, all-natural gemstones almost always have some inclusions. Inclusions have an essential role in telling us about the strains and the stresses they endured during their millions of years in the making. Synthetic stones and lab-grown gemstones are often flawless or have fewer inclusions as they were grown rapidly in a controlled environment. Inclusions are a great indicator to show the complexity and uniqueness of every natural gemstone.

Envero Jewelry uses the following grading scale for clarity of the natural gemstones.

VVS
Minor inclusions can be seen under 10x magnification but are invisible to the naked eye and have no effect on appearance.

VS1

Some inclusion is visible under x10 loupe, slightly visible on close eye inspection, and does not affect the stone's brilliance.

VS2

Some inclusion is visible under x10 loupe but not apparent to the naked eyes and does not affect the stone's brilliance.

SI1

Inclusions can be easily seen under 10x magnification and noticeable to the naked eyes but have no significant effect on appearance and brilliance.

SI2

Inclusions can be easily seen by the naked eyes and slightly affect appearance and brilliance.

I1

I1 Inclusions are prominent and have moderate effects on appearance and brilliance.
